The Hotel Mocambo was built in the 1940s by Spanish architects who gave it a spectacular Mediterranean type setting. The hotel was constructed on Mocambo Beach upon the highest land in the region which provides a spectacular view of the sea from its enormous terraces. As the hotel faces east you can watch the unequalled spectacles of the sunrise or the moon and its reflections. In its lush gardens you will find coconut palms; bugambilias; birds of paradise; tropical vegetation and a variety of regional birds.
